They finally arrived at our local FCA dealership and I must admit that I fell in love with the looks. Oh, the Fiat 124 also arrived. I read that the supply of 124s already doesn’t meet the demand in Germany.

This looks like it was designed specifically for Italians to pick fights with tourists in rental car parking lots after they utter the words "I'll just take the Kia"

The side is a BMW and that back is an Audi/VW. The front is an Alfa. Eh what can you do with modern cars? I guess having a big kink in the side is a must these days.

But it still manages to look very distinctive. With that said, I also spotted the new Accord Coupe.

Everyone is doing a big bulge or waves in the side. I kind of liked how Mazda had some Furai (RIP) style in their road cars. But that is more of a Japanese thing, not very Italian.

Italians are very serious when they see their pride get somewhat hurt. All about respek on their name.

With cars having larger belt lines due to safety regulations, creases (don’t know the English word sorry) make cars look less boring.
I miss the Mazda 5 even though I kinda used to hate the facelift with the big smiley face but it grew on me over time.

Absolutely...when I was in Italy several years ago, I think the sheer abundance of Italian marques on the roads was all I needed to know (I think it’s about 40-50% of their cars, compared to sub-10% elsewhere in Europe). It was simultaneously cool and baffling....maybe like England in the 70s.

I can haz 3 pedals?
Can’t find any info on the website. It almost seem like every manufacturer deliberately make their website hard to navigate and out of date as possible. BMW, Cadillac both still have build and price info for 2016 only but they stopped taking orders already. Alfa doesn’t even have a proper brochure with options.

Lot of Italians know that their cars are rather.. no exactly known for reliability but I came to the conclusion that Italian cars reflect Italian people, as stupid as that may sound.

Try all that on a mobile phone. The Giulia is available with a manual trans in Europe, but that’s obvious. I really hope that you ‘Mericans will get the m/t. The shift knob is made from aluminium and looks sexy.

Lux brands has to nasty habit of going auto-only when hitting North America. And gets further neutered when it gets up to Canada and become auto AND AWD only.
